3D Modeling
Central de Maquetas is a company with over 50 years of experience creating high-quality scale materials for models, both in academic and professional settings. It is currently the market leader in scale products in Latin America, with a catalog of more than 500 miniature pieces.
Its primary production method has historically been manual injection of recycled plastic, a process that upholds the value of craftsmanship and the direct involvement of human hands in production. However, as part of its ongoing modernization and adaptation to new needs, the company has begun developing collections that incorporate 3D printing, since plastic injection costs are prohibitive for one-off series or prototyping processes.
I have worked with them on developing models for 3D printing and prototyping, as well as presenting unique series, with the aim of contributing to a new generation of scale products. The goal has been to integrate current technological advances without losing the artisanal essence and identity that has defined the company throughout its history.
